What is needed to achieve a title for AKC

Trials:

For ALL trialing events hosted by AKC, in all levels, you and your dog must receive THREE qualify scores under TWO different judges. The results from your trial will be recorded by AKC and they will mail you a Title in the class that you received the qualifying scores for. You can achieve titles in all levels with all stock.
Tests:

For Tests, it's a bit easier to achieve a title. Testing events do not use points like trials but rather a pass or fail method. You need to pass TWO testing runs, under TWO different judges to obtain a Testing Title.

Championships:

Only Advanced dogs can receive championship points. Once you and your dog have received a title in any advance class (you can only received championship points if you have titled in a class), you are now qualified to earn points towards your championship. The number points are gained by the number of dogs per advanced class (review graph below). The Trial Secretary will record and send in the championship points earned to AKC after each trial.
